Laura Asherman is a traveling documentary filmmaker and the owner of Forage Films. With an innate interest in human resilience and personal identity, Laura is driven to create character-driven stories that serve to foster awareness and positive social change. Her filmmaking style combines verité, experimental, and expository styles of the non-fiction genre.
Sydney Herndon has worked across academia, NGOs and the UN to conduct qualitative research on food security and social justice issues around the world. An environmental activist and budding documentary filmmaker, Sydney is a recent graduate of Emory University where she received a Masters of Development Practice in order to combine her love of documentary storytelling, research background, and experience in development work around the globe.
Nicholas Manting Brewer
Nicholas Manting Brewer is an award-winning documentary storyteller and film editor based out of Los Angeles, CA. In 2017, Nicholas graduated with his MFA from University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. His work has screened at Sundance, Cleveland International, and South by Southwest.
